It's French. And what with temperature's toppin' 80 and the mesh starting to make its appearance, I figured it was time to bring us back to a happier, nippier, holly jolly time.

Book update: finished both The Executioner's Song (1979, 3.75 stars) and High Noon in the Cold War (2004, 3 stars). Moved on to Guns, Germs & Steel (1997, 3.5 stars, as interesting and enlightening as everyone says it is. Pick it up if you've ever been curious as to why Western Europe rose to dominate the world), then the 3rd book in the Series of Unfortunate Events series (The Wide Window, 2000, 2.5 stars, it made me LOL) and 13 Ways of Looking at the Novel by Jane Smiley (2005, 4 stars, recommended for anyone who loves books and just wants to read about how much other people love books. I couldn't put it down). Now I'm in the middle of Henry Kissinger's The White House Years (1979) and Rabbit, Run (1960) by Updike.
